Advent Calendar 

“Chocolate, Gordon?” Ianto Jones queried with a raised eyebrow as he entered the kitchen. Cardiff’s only registered vampire looked up with a shrug and half-smile. The smell of chocolate was rich in the air and several pots bubbled with the melted stuff. 

“Toby wanted them,” Gordon George replied as he lifted one pot up. Moulds were laid out on the centre bench. 

“I thought chocolate was no good for dogs,” Ianto commented as he inhaled deeply over one of the bowls. “You’ve got coffee in this.” He went to stick his finger in the mix. 

Gordon reached over and smacked a spoon on Ianto’s hand. “Don’t touch! And Toby is a wolf and quite partial to chocolate. You’re luck he’s not here to hear you.” 

Ianto smiled. “I know.” And he did know. Toby could get quite annoyed at being called a dog. “So what are the chocolates for then?” Ianto asked as he went over to the coffee machine. 

“Advent calendars, and yes, the coffee ones are for you. And the dark ones will be for Myfanwy.” 

“You spoil us, Gordon,” Ianto replied with a smile. 

“I know,” Gordon replied smugly. “And to show your gratitude, you get to put them in the calendars.” 

“What?” Ianto turned and looked at the smug vampire. 

“I did say Advent calendars, Ianto.” Gordon waved a hand to the moulds. “You can help me pour and then I have all those to fold.” He pointed to the sideboard where flattened cardboard boxes were stacked. “With you helping it shouldn’t take too long and then the chocolate should be solid and we can box them up.” 

Ianto glared at Gordon. 

“You can address them. You’re the one who knows where everyone lives anyway.” Gordon kept on smiling. “December First is a week away and I really to need to have all these sent out in time.” 

“Chocolate might not affect Toby, but it definitely doesn’t go well with your metabolism,” Ianto said as he let his breath out and made his coffee stronger than normal before turning to help.

The image of a vampire making advent calendars...I must say, it's not one I'd ever thought of before!

I'm sure Ianto will appreciate the Advent Calendars more when he actually gets to eat the chocolates in his!
