My heart broke to see them both at the non-existent mercy of Alice Guppy's Torchwood. What a horrid place to find each other again!
I love the way they bonded at ever deeper levels through their young lives until Slate's first death and resurrection was experienced, and apparently shared, by Ikaite across space and possibly even time, the two of them joined so completely they are one soul in two bodies.
These stories are wonderful on so many levels and I'm glad there will be more. I just hope they don't suffer for long at Alice's hands, they really don't deserve it!
So sorry to hear about your current woes - I just hope you soon find a new home, it's really not fair that you have to go through all the upheaval of moving on top of everything else. Hope you have a really great time at Supernova though! *hugs*
